Raise and Lower
Flag |
· Taken in group of 4. · Every member of the group must be able to execute the proper folding
of a flag. · In the group, set up a 3-2-1 flag staff in 10 min time. · Every member of the group must execute the raising and lowering of
flag. · The group must be able to describe the proceedings of scout opening
and closing ceremony. |

Pack a First Aid
Kit |
· Provide sufficient consideration that it is a personal first aid box. · Be prepared to explain the rationale, uses and dosages of the items
packed. · Make sure that the first aid kit is adequately equipped. |

LPG Stove
Operation |
· Taken in pairs. · Be able to assemble and dismantle the set-up for the group LPG stoves
and tanks, using the correct procedures. · Individually, light the stove and demonstrate a clear understanding of
the purpose of the inner and outer ring and also the control of the strength
of the flame. · Have used the LPG stove in cooking at least 2 times. |

Tentage (I) |
Hiker's Tent · Done in pairs. · Pitch and strike a 2 men hiker’s tent in 5 minutes respectively. · Able to fold and pack the tent properly. Dome Tent · Done in pairs. · Pitch and strike a 4 men dome tent in 5 minutes respectively. · Able to fold and pack the tent properly. |

Ropework (I) |
· Execute vertical and commando climb. |
6. |
Camping (I) |
· Have successfully camped outdoor under tentage for a period of 3 days
2 night. · Show proficiency theoretically in choosing of campsites. · During camp, practice camp hygiene, patrol layout and camping standard
to the satisfaction of the camp organisers. · Camp organiser will sign this part. |
7. |
Know Your
District |
· Done in group of 3. · Survey and map out the area within 1 km radii of the school. · Candidates are to submit an individual set of personal observations
and experience together with map (fully coloured, with map scale, legend and
compass direction), in 2 week’s time after the survey. Submissions with
proper binding, labelling, covers and neatness will be given extra
consideration. · Candidates must be able to answer questions on the survey area e.g.
bus routes, types and location of shops, shortest way to get to a particular
place, to the satisfaction of the tester. |

Service
Involvement (I) |
· Have participated in at least 1 service to the school/district/area/HQ
in the name of the group. · Have participated in at least 1 community service project organised by
the goup. |
9. |
Social Involvement
(I) |
· Attended at least 6 campfires (group exclusive) over a 1 year period. · Attendance is judged by the presence and the enthusiasm shown at a
campfire. The troop special project coordinator is to advise the tester in
this area. |
10.

Map and Compass |
· Show an understanding of the purpose and usage of the grid reference,
scale, legends, symbols and colours on the map, to the satisfaction of the
tester. · Be able to set a map. Understand the usage of pacing in finding
objectives. · Understand the working of direct, back and cross bearing. · Able to complete an exercise demonstrating proficiency in using
bearing and pacing to find objectives. |

tester. · Able to explain and demonstrate the various types of anchorage system. |

Outdoor Cooking
(I) |
· Taken in pairs. · Complete a personal set of natural utensils (fork, spoon, chopstick,
knife, cup) for assessment by the examiner. Can be done at home. · Be able to start a fire with only 6 matches. · Using the natural utensils and man-made containers, cook and consume a
meal of noodles with ingredients and brew a beverage. |

· Taken in group of 6. · Set up a kitchen tent in 20 minutes, to the satisfaction of the
tester. · Able to fold the tent properly. |

Signaling (I) |
· Demonstrate proficiency in the following, to the satisfaction of the

6. |
Exploration (I) |
· Done in group of 3. · Go on a day hike (30km) and prepare an exploration report with photos,
maps and write-ups on each checkpoint. The write-up should include time of
arrival and departure, bearing to and from, general weather, team morale,
MRN, description of route and checkpoint, social lifestyle, economic
activity, environmental outlook, personal information and general information
on items brought. Neatness and extensiveness of diligence will be given
special consideration. · Or candidates may choose to organise their own exploration and use that
to complete the report instead. · Or go as a companion for CCA or PSA and complete the exploration report
using the day portion of the hike. · Candidates are to submit an individual exploration report in 3 weeks
time. |

the group. · There must be a total of at least 3 service session from the above 2

· Taken in group of 6. · Set up a 20-men tent in 40 minutes, to the satisfaction of the tester. · Able to fold the tent properly. |

Outdoor Cooking
(II) |
· Taken in pairs. · Be able to start a fire with only 3 matches. · Plan a balanced diet for 2 inclusive of meat, vegetables, rice, soup,
desert and miscellaneous. · Sustain the fire and cook as per the planned menu, using all natural
equipment. · Cook at least 2 meals in camp for the patrol. · Successful candidate who completed all outdoor cooking modules will be
awarded the camp cook proficiency badge. |

Camping (III) |
· Have successfully camped outdoor under tentage for at least 10 nights. · Pack a survival kit, to the satisfaction of the tester. · Construct a simple trap, pre-approved by the tester. · Successful candidate who have camped outdoor under tentage for at
least 15 nights and also completed all camping and tentage modules will be
awarded the camper proficiency badge. |

· Demonstrate proficiency in the following, to the satisfaction of the

· Done in group of 4. · Go on a overnight exploration which comprises of at least 30km for day
hike and 15km for night hike. Prepare a exploration report with photos, maps
and write-ups on each checkpoint. The write-up should be full. Neatness and
extensiveness of diligence will be given special consideration. · Or candidates may choose to organise their own exploration and use that
to complete the report instead. · Or go as a candidate for CCA and use the CCA exploration report. · Or be a companion for PSA and complete the exploration report using the
day and night portion of the hike. · Candidates are to submit an individual exploration report in 3 weeks
time. · Successful candidates who completed all exploration, map and compass
and know your district modules will be awarded the explorer proficiency
badge. |
